We Made It!

After visiting three continents and 24 hours of planes and terminals, we have made it to our destination!

Praise God we had a safe journey with no setbacks! The planes were all on time with little to no turbulence and we didn’t have any problems with security. We reached our apartment at 5 am this morning.

It’s a great space with a living room/mini kitchen, two cots, and a bathroom which can be hard to come by here. We went to church this morning at 10 so we are a bit tired and in need of a nap :p. Today they welcomed us to the churchand gave us handmade garlands made of flowers. They are beautiful and smell wonderful! The church service started with praise songs, some in English and some in regional dialect. We helped/watched the children’s church where we are called “Auntie” as a sign of respect. We had our first Indian meal of rice and chicken. It was a bit spicy but nothing we couldn’t handle. Which you do handle your food with your hands here in India. We have met several of the staff here and they are all very friendly and helpful! Today is mostly an orientation and recuperation day. We will be seeing the palace later today. So there will be more to come later 🙂
